Your Pet’s First Appointment
Puppies should see their first veterinarian around six weeks of age, while kittens should see their first veterinarian around eight weeks.
Your pet will receive a comprehensive physical examination during this initial visit to determine their overall health, look for signs of congenital defects, and check for external parasites.
Additionally, we will administer roundworm and hookworm deworming medications, as well as the first round of puppy or kitten vaccinations.

Finally, we will perform a blood test on kittens to determine if they have feline leukemia or feline immunodeficiency virus.
Follow-up Appointments
Between the ages of 6 and 16 weeks, puppies and kittens should have three to four veterinary appointments. Our veterinarians use these visits to assess your pet's overall health and to administer vaccines on time.
